After the inspection

It can take a while for the inspection result to reach the official records. If you have passed the inspection but the lookup still shows a fee or an old period, check again a little later.

Until the inspection fee is cleared, road tax (seyrüsefer) and the vehicle exit fee cannot be paid online. How to pay the inspection fee is explained in the inspection fee payment guide; the schedule is in the inspection dates guide.

Inspection check: frequently asked questions

How do I check my vehicle inspection in North Cyprus?

You can check it on the government’s online tax portal (online.vergi.gov.ct.tr) using your vehicle and ID details. If you add your vehicle to OtoAssist, your inspection status and period are shown without entering your details every time.

When is my inspection due?

Inspection dates depend on the vehicle type and the first letters of the plate. The lookup shows the date range assigned to you; the full schedule is in our inspection dates guide.

I paid the fee but the inspection shows as not done. Why?

Paying the fee does not mean the inspection is done. If the lookup says “fee paid, inspection not completed” (“harç ödenmiş, muayene sonuçlandırılmamıştır”), you need to take the vehicle to an inspection centre.

I passed the inspection but the result does not show. What should I do?

It can take a while for the inspection result to reach the official records. Check again a little later. In OtoAssist you can refresh the data from the official records with “Inspection done — Update”.

What is the late inspection fee?

It is the higher fee you pay if you have the inspection done outside the days assigned to you. In 2026 the normal fee for a car is 1,394 TL and the late fee is 2,091 TL.

Can I check the inspection of someone else’s vehicle?

The lookup is done with the vehicle owner’s ID (tax) number. If the number does not match the owner, no result is returned.
